Yuvaraj is the Group CHRO with MakeMyTrip which owns the 3 most significant Travel Tech brands of India viz MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo, and RedBus. He is a graduate in Psychology from the University of Allahabad and an MBA in HR from IMT Ghaziabad.
Before transitioning to the Corporate world in 1997 he served with the Indian Armed forces for 6 years and participated in various counter-insurgency operations in J&K Sector.
In a corporate career spanning over 25 years, he served with Asian Paints, The Oberoi Group of Hotels, and PepsiCo India before joining MakeMyTrip. Yuvaraj has held various leadership roles in his career and handled a number of critical assignments across the spectrum of Human Resource functions. He is a certified executive coach and trainer for programs on change management, executive coaching, and behavioural assessments.
Yuvaraj is the President of the National HRD Network of Delhi NCR chapter. He is also a Member of the Advisory Panel of Central Boards of Film Certification, appointed by Govt of India, HR Advisory Committee of FICCI, HR &; Leadership committee of CII, and ETHR World Advisory Counci. He is extensively featured and covered by digital and non-digital channels for his HR thought leadership.
He has been recognised and conferred with many professional awards, prominent ones being LinkedIn Power profile India – 2016, 100 Most Influential HR Leaders In India – 2017, 100 Most Talented Global HR Leaders, 50 Influential & Dynamic HR Leaders by ETHRWorld – 2021 and many more.
He is passionate about Indian music and loves to indulge in freewheeling conversations on the Indian Political system.

One of the most overlooked skills in leadership today is the ability to be a kind and empathetic leader. So many of us were taught that showing any sort of kindness in the workplace was a sign of weakness. I believe the opposite because I see kindness as a superpower. Now more than ever the world needs leaders who know how to be kind, and how to be human.
